Terms of Use

Last updated: 5 August 2026 · Student Matters

By using studentmatter.net and related Student Matters channels (email, WhatsApp, events) you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1

Our services

Student Matters provides study-abroad information and counselling for destinations including Ireland, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany and the USA.

Important: University offers, visas and scholarships are decided by institutions and governments — not guaranteed by Student Matters. Advice is based on information you provide and publicly available rules that can change.
2

Accurate information

You confirm that all details submitted in our forms are true and complete. Submitting false documents or misrepresenting your background may lead us to stop assisting you and may have legal consequences with universities or immigration authorities.

3

Fees and payments

Initial counselling is free of charge. Any application, service or third-party fees — including university application fees, visa fees, insurance premiums or transfer costs — will be clearly explained before you pay.

Payment safety: Official payments should only be made to verified Student Matters accounts. If in doubt, confirm with info@studentmatter.net before transferring any funds.
4

Website content accuracy

Course lists, tuition fees, visa requirements and scholarship information on this website are provided for general guidance and may change without notice. Always verify final details directly with the university, official government sources and our counsellors before making any decision.

5

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Student Matters is not liable for:

  • University admission refusals or course cancellations
  • Visa or immigration refusals by any government
  • Travel delays, cancellations or disruptions
  • Losses arising from third-party providers (airlines, landlords, insurers, transfer companies)
  • Changes to visa rules or tuition fees after advice is given

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law in your jurisdiction.

6

Intellectual property

Site design, branding and written content belong to Student Matters or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce or republish materials for commercial use without prior written permission. Educational personal use (printing a guide for your own research) is permitted.

7

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the admin area or any protected area
  • Submit automated, bulk or spam enquiries through our forms
  • Impersonate another student, agent or staff member
  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
8

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections where you live. Disputes should first be raised with us directly at info@studentmatter.net — we will make every reasonable effort to resolve concerns promptly.
